Terms of Service
Mozget Vault · Effective 11 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-11
These terms are an agreement between you and Mozget ("we") for the Mozget Vault app (the "app"), shown on your home screen as "Calculator", and its online services. By using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
The app is an encrypted vault for photos, videos, documents and notes on your phone. It can present itself as a working calculator (a "disguise"), and opens when you enter your PIN and press "=". The vault is free to use with ads; a one-time purchase removes the ads.
2. Your vault, your keys
- Your vault is encrypted on your device with keys protected by your PIN, passphrase, biometrics and a 24-word recovery phrase. Only you can open it.
- We cannot see, reset or recover your vault. If you forget your PIN and passphrase and lose your recovery phrase, the content is permanently inaccessible. Keep the recovery phrase somewhere safe.
- The vault is not included in iCloud or Google backups and does not move to a new phone. Uninstalling the app deletes it.
- You are responsible for keeping copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
3. Your online account
The app creates an anonymous account for your device so that online features (settings, purchase restore, notices) work. You can delete your account data at any time in Settings → Account, or as described at vault.mozget.com/delete-account. Deleting account data does not delete the vault on your phone.
4. Ads and the Remove ads purchase
- The free app shows ads inside the unlocked vault, including an optional short ad before a file opens. The file opens even when no ad can be shown.
- Remove ads is a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play that removes the ads for good. It is not a subscription. You can restore it on another device signed in to the same store account (Settings → Restore purchase).
- Prices are shown by the store before you buy. Payments, refunds and cancellations are handled by the store under its terms. A refunded purchase brings the ads back.
5. Acceptable use
You must use the app lawfully. You may not use it to store, hide or share illegal content, to harm others, or to break, probe or overload our services. You can report abuse to support@mozget.com.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end the online account of anyone who breaks these terms or where the law requires it. This only affects online features (purchase sync, settings, notices); it cannot remove, lock or reveal the vault on your phone. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
7. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. The app includes open-source software under its own licences (Settings → Open-source licenses). You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell the app except where the law allows it.
8. Changes to the app and these terms
We may update the app and these terms. If a change is material, the app will ask you to accept the new terms. If you do not accept, stop using the online features or uninstall the app.
9. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it secure and reliable, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that no data will ever be lost. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country that cannot be excluded.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of content that results from lost PINs, passphrases or recovery phrases, uninstalling the app, device loss or failure, or operating-system changes. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
11. App Store terms (iOS)
If you got the app from Apple's App Store: these terms are between you and Mozget, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws, nor for the investigation, defence, settlement or discharge of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Mozget has its registered office. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in its courts.
